General manager Brian Gutekunst has ten selections to work with as of Thursday morning, with a pair of selections in the first round.Gutekunst added three more picks to the Packers’ normal seven through shrewd trades in 2018. The first-round pick came courtesy of the New Orleans Saints, who traded this year’s first in order to move up from 27 to the Packers’ 14th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. New Orleans selected defensive end Marcus Davenport, while the Packers later moved back up to the 18th pick to select cornerback Jaire Alexander. The other two added picks come on day three, as the Packers have extra selections in rounds four and six as a result of trading safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and quarterback Brett Hundley.Because of the team’s two first-round selections, the Packers’ rookie pool is the fourth-highest of any team in this year’s draft. That term refers to the total amount of salary cap hit that the team’s current draft choices will take up in year one of their contracts, not considering the Top 51 salary cap rule. Green Bay’s picks currently have a pool value of $10,304,256 (according to Over the Cap), though the actual cap space required to sign the picks would be only about $4.8 million. The Packers’ pool value is fourth-highest in the NFL as of this moment because first-round picks take up the bulk of that pool value; they trail only the New York Giants (first-round picks at 6 and 17), the Oakland Raiders (three first-rounders at 5, 24, and 27) https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Marcedes-Lewis-Jersey , and the Arizona Cardinals (picking first overall). Here are the team’s ten current selections.Packers’ 2019 Draft PicksRound One#12 overall: Rashan Gary, EDGE, Michigan#21 overall: Darnell Savage, Jr., S, Maryland (acquired from Seahawks for picks #30, #114, & #118)#30 overall (acquired from Saints on 2018 draft-day trade) — tradedRound Two#12 (#44 overall): Elgton Jenkins, G, Mississippi StateRound Three#11 (#75 overall): Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&MRound Four#12 (#114 overall) — traded#16 (#118 overall — acquired from Washington for S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix)— tradedRound Five#12 (#150 overall): Kingsley Keke, DT https://www.thepackersfanshop.com , Texas A&MRound Six#12 (#185 overall): Ka’Dar Hollman, CB, Toledo#21 (#194 overall — acquired from Seahawks for QB Brett Hundley): Dexter Williams, RB, Notre DameRound Seven#12 (#226 overall) — Ty Summers, LB, TCU Instead of signing a second tryout player from rookie camp, Green Bay is signing a former Eagle." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesAcme Packing Company homepageHorizontal - WhiteAcme Packing Companya Green Bay Packers communityFollow Acme Packing Company online:Follow Acme Packing Company on TwitterFollow Acme Packing Company on FacebookFollow Acme Packing Company on InstagramLog in or sign upLog InSign UpSite searchSearchSearchAcme Packing Company main menuFanpostsFanshotsSectionsPackersOddsAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 321 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections The APC PodcastPackers Film RoomFantasy Football AdviceCDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Packers sign former Eagles CB Chandon SullivanTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailPhoto by Alex Pantling/Getty ImagesWith one open spot remaining on the 90-man roster after rookie minicamp and the signing of wide receiver Darrius Shepherd, most Green Bay Packers fans likely expected the team to offer a contract to one of the other 19 players who attended the camp on a tryout basis. Instead, the Packers are signing a cornerback who recently received a pink slip from a previous NFL team.Following a successful college career at Georgia State, Chandon Sullivan went undrafted in 2018. He landed with the Philadelphia Eagles immediately as a rookie free agent, however, and made the team’s practice squad out of training camp. Sullivan then earned a promotion to the Eagles’ 53-man roster Green Bay Packers Customized Jerseys , playing five games for the team before being waived and returning to the practice squad before week 17. However, the Eagles waived Sullivan on May 1st.Now, Sullivan is a Packer, according to his agents via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Packers announced the signing shortly after the report. In signing with the Packers, Sullivan joins a young, talented group of cornerbacks under the tutelage of defensive backs coach Jason Simmons.Sullivan worked out at the 2018 NFL Combine, measuring in at 5-foot-10 3/4 and 194 pounds. His explosiveness is his best physical attribute, as his vertical jump (40.5 inches) and broad jump (11-foot-2) finished above the 90th percentile for cornerbacks. His speed (4.60 forty) and agility (4.36 short shuttle) from the Combine put him below the 20th percentile in those tests. However, he reportedly had a hamstring injury in Indianapolis and improved on those times in a solo Pro Day a few weeks later, with a 40 time around 4.50 seconds and a 3-cone time around 7 seconds. In Philadelphia, Sullivan was primarily a special teams player, though he did make one start in his five games. Look for him to compete for a roster spot through special teams contributions in 2019.
